FAQ'S

Why should I ship overnight with heat protection or ship with heat protective liners when ordering transfer sheets?
American Chocolate Designs transfers are made from American Chocolate Designs colored edible inks made from food ingredients such as Sugar and Coconut Oil.  The thin layer of edible ink is heat sensitive and will melt in warm temperatures.  We offer two options during the warm spring and summer months, overnight with heat protection or longer shipping options with heat protective liners between each sheet.  Depending on the size of your order, one option may be more cost effective than the other.  Remember, we ship from Atlanta, GA; so it may be much warmer than your current region.

How are your chocolate products shipped during the warm/hot months?
Chocolate Dessert Wafers and other chocolate products must be shipped overnight with heat protection.  We package the chocolate in insulated packaging along with frozen ice packs to protect the chocolate from damage due to heat exposure.

Can you ship your products to me?
American Chocolate Designs ships transfer sheets worldwide.  We do not ship chocolate products out of the USA.  Please contact us for a shipping quote.

Are your transfer sheets and chocolate products Kosher?
Our ingredients are Kosher certified; however, American Chocolate Designs is not under Rabbinical supervision.

What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept VISA, MC and AMEX only.

Do you have a variety pack or can I combine packs?
American Chocolate Designs does not carry a variety pack and we do not allow combining of packs.  All transfers are packaged and inventoried after printing and cannot be split.  We do have several companies who carry our transfer sheets and sell them by the sheet.  For a list of those companies, please contact us.

Not all of the ink is transferring from the transfer sheet.  What is the problem?
When this problem arises, it is usually a temperature issue.  Make sure your chocolate or coating is tempered at the higher end of the range for that particular chocolate or coating and that there is no delay in placing the chocolate or coating on the transfer or the transfer on the chocolate or coating.  If you are using a transfer with a large amount of layered ink, seconds count in this process.  Also, make sure that after the chocolate or coating is applied to the transfer that you chill the chocolate completely through the entire piece before removing the transfer.

The image is blurring.  What is the problem?
If this happens, your chocolate or coating is too hot and melted the image too fast as you were handling the chocolate.  Be sure to use chocolate between 87 and 91 degrees for the best results and do not let it sit and cool before applying the transfer sheet.
